Smelling the Coffee

I was rather delighted to receive an e-mail from another blogging Grendel a couple of days ago. This particular scion of Cain hails from Western Australia and wrote as follows;

‘So here I am, 5 minutes ago, slightly bored at work (and yet it still awaits in great mountains of emails) and I google 'Grendel'. Vanity has driven me, because after all, am I not the most notable blogger named Grendel in the Googlverse? Alas and alak it appears I am not and I discovered your Grendel Blog.

"Bastard" I think, but he likes Asimov, hmmm.

Downgrade bastard to mere "Prick".

Oh, and he likes Star Wars, AND I Claudius - there's got to be something I can hate the uber-ranker for, Ahhhhhh he's a "Pommy" That'll do!

That and he's dealt such a crushing blow to my vanity.’

It’s rather reassuring to know that there is a comrade to cover in the Southern Hemisphere if some egotistic Geat heads off in that direction.

Of course as a Pom monster I much prefer tea and beer served at room temperature.

But if you are a fan of the evil bean you could do a lot worse than paying ‘CafĂ© Grendel’ a visit.

Grendels of the world unite. You only have your innocence to lose.

LOL. While not a fan of the evil bean I'll have to visit him. After all he is a fellow Aussie.

Excellent. Having now established cordial inter-grendel relations I think we should move forward to the inevitable Grendel Defence Alliance. This will ensure that in the event of a Geat infestation in any one location an immediate launch of intercontinental basllistic Grendels in support of the afflicted locale may prevent loss of limbs.

That and an exchange of beverages.

Who is Grendel exactly. Just whilst we're on the subject y'know?!

Well that Grendel commenting above is me, Grendel. Unless you mean the early English saga Grendel. Or the current English blogger Grendel in which case the Grendel currently commenting is not the Grendel you meant but another Grendel in Australia and the English Grendel is the one who ones the blog currently being commented on by this Grendel.

Clear enough?
