The particular break in question seems to have occurred in our PC’s PSU which expired suddenly and unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago.
However Mrs. G’s brother (who is pretty knowledgeable about such matters) got a new widgety thing and all now seems to be fine.
Just to make life slightly less interesting during this period is the fact that after many years of loyal service my PS2 ‘bought it’ a couple of weeks before the PSU blew up.
I have had the chance to finish a couple of books though so the time hasn’t been entirely wasted.
Oh and thanks to everyone who has still visited during the technical difficulty.

So what exactly is a PSU - is it the power?
