Sunday night is (temporarily) music night.
I think I may change direction with this musical video posting lark. Although starting off with a fairly normal rock orientated output the last couple of posts have centred around tunes remembered from childhood which were basically popular classical pieces. Oh and Puff the Magic Dragon (natch).
The difference with these though were that they actually generated a degree of interest and some comments.
So I will keep strictly to the’ I do or at some point have owned a copy of this recording’ policy. But will start rummaging through the other half of my record collection and present a few ‘Classical’ pieces for your delectation.
On You Tube this stuff rarely has whizzy performance videos to go with. But this really is just about the music.
Hopefully this will make tonight a Knight to remember.
'Grendel is, as a blogger, considerably better than he was as a Beowulf threatening monster. With that pale green background lulling you into a false sense of security, there's no knowing what he'll assail you with next.May he survive a thousand Beowulfs' - James Higham
'I like your blog too because you are not always bashing Brown, although I see you were earlier, but in a gentle way, and the EU. Plus you mix it up'. - JMB / Nobody Important
Grendel is no ordinary blogger. He loathes politicians and likes football - Jeremy Jacobs
I don't think I've yet managed to come away from this blog without having learned something new (even including that your taste in seventies/eighties music seems even worse than mine!) - Juliet Pain

Excellent choice Grendel!
I am really enjoying your classical choices :-)
Thank you both.
Hall of the Mountain Kings, isn't it?
So how come you ever moved to rock with this classical music childhood? Although this is a bit modern!
