Speechless Wednesday.

Many bloggers are involved in the ‘Wordless Wednesday’ project but this might leave you speechless.

For reasons that are so convoluted I don’t have the time or inclination to record I found that I had Mrs. G’s digital camera with me at work a few days ago.

Have you ever wondered what the office of a middle ranking purchasing officer of an acute Trust within the NHS looked like? If you have, then look no further.

Actually I’m pretty sure the question probably hadn’t crossed your mind.

It might look disorganised but there is actually some vague order to the apparent chaos here.

Or at least that’s what I try to tell my staff whose clean and tidy work and offices I am responsible for. I’m not sure they believe me but one the benefits of being their manager is that their views don’t matter over much in this regard.

My own bosses have pretty much given up on nagging me about the state of my working environment. They get the results and really that’s all that matters to them.

And the company representatives whom I have the pleasure of seeing politely comment that ‘I must be busy’.

I don’t think that I can be any more disorganised than the Orange bank robber during the time of his bid to be the deputy leader of the Labour Party. Or at the very least if I am that disorganised at least I know that I’m not corrupt.

But next time you look at your payslip and wonder where the money is spent an infinitesimally small percentage of it is approved at this desk.

At first I thought that this was my office but then it dawned on me that you are able to see out of the window and there is no appreciable quantity of fungussy mugs littering the 'flat' surfaces.
